RTS Performance 5 Paddle Uprated Clutch Kit
This new upgraded performance clutch for the Golf R, S3 and other EA888 Gen 3 equipped vehicles from RTS promises big things. The unique design combines a twin purpose friction plate utilising both organic and paddle designs with a retracting strap plate clutch assembly. The result is a clutch suitable for many stage 1/2/3 applications, with a much lighter feel than a standard paddle setup matching practicality with performance driving.
Which kit do I need?
Twin-Friction (RTSTF-6006)
Suitable for Stock vehicles, gives a lighter OEM feel that can be lived with every day.
Rated to 610Nm / 450lb/ft
5 Paddle (RTSPC-6006HDB)
Suitable for Stage 1, Stage 2 and Stage 3 tuning, slightly heavier than the twin friction however still lighter than any other paddle clutches we have driven to date and still could be driven every day.
Rated to 715Nm / 530lb/ft
How does a clutch that transfers more torque and has a higher clamping pressure feel lighter?
A retracting strap plate clutch assembly having a single annular body strap plate affixed to a clutch pressure plate has integrally preformed spring resilient tabs mounted to the clutch housing. The tabs are normally spring loaded to retract the strap plate toward the diaphragm spring so that when the clutch is released the tabs cause the pressure plate to smoothly disengage from a friction disc.

From 01/12/2019 RTS Europe Ltd will not be accepting any returns of Twin friction Self Adjusting Clutch applications unless proof of the correct SAC alignment tool has been used. (Part no. 400 0237 10)
RTS Europe do not recommend any RTS Twin Friction Clutch kits be installed to a used or old Dual-mass Flywheel (DMF) or Single-mass Flywheel (SMF). Any Twin Friction SAC not installed to a new Flywheel voids any return warranty.
